From as early as he can remember, Tim knew he wanted to be a writer. His career began in middle school when he received his first editorial feedback and his eyes were opened to the existence of something called “plot.”
He went on to attend Penn State as an English major, placing in several undergraduate fiction competitions and writing for Research/Penn State magazine as well as a self-published magazine distributed around campus. After graduation, Tim built a career in marketing while focusing on writing on the side. Along the way, he played lead guitar in one of MTV’s top rock bands in the Washington DC area, traveled to more than 20 countries, and drafted several novels that remain in mothballs. Eventually, he established his own marketing firm, Young Marketing Consulting, which has allowed him to split his time between writing and consulting.
Tim’s work has appeared in numerous online and print publications, including Rosebud Magazine, the Journal of Microliterature, the Best New Writing Anthology, and the Woven Tale Press. He became a Mash judge during Mash’s 5th quarter.
He currently writes about tips, news and contests at his blog Flashfictionblog.com.
