Former Judge, USA

Amanda is a graduate student at the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast MFA program in Creative Writing. She was first published in the 5th grade when she hand wrote a letter to the editor of her hometown newspaper protesting funding cuts for art and music programs.

A long time Portland, Maine resident, she particularly enjoys things that make her laugh and critiquing adaptations of books to film. Her blog Misadventures in Portland received widespread local acclaim and lead to opportunities writing for the USM’s Office of Public Affairs and the Portland Phoenix.

After a full-time gig in the personal care product industry, Amanda is diligently working on her bowling average and her first book. Maybe not in that order. She’s thankful and excited to be joining the Mash team.
