Kate is a poet and editor with an MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University. After spending five years in the non-profit sector, she came to her senses and transitioned to full-time writing.
As owner of Black Squirrel Workshop LLC, she channels her passion for homework as a professional editor of all genres. She has edited several novels and ebooks, as well as short stories and children’s books.
Kate’s poetry collection, How to Love an Introvert, is available at Finishing Line Press. Her poetry has appeared in The Perpetual You magazine, and her prose has appeared in a print anthology by the HerStories Project. She is working on a non-fiction manuscript and several children’s books.
Here at Mash Stories, Kate is a Jack-of-all-Trades. She manages much of the administrative side of the competition, creates the weekly newsletter, writes for the blog, wears judge’s robes when needed, makes the podcast happen, and performs those small but essential tasks that keep the platform growing.
Kate is honored to work with the devoted team of volunteers who make Mash Stories possible.
